Hi, I’m Luke Middlemiss, a man who transformed life’s toughest trials into a calling. Growing up, all my friends and family called me Kodak because I always had a camera in hand, photographing people and freezing their moments in time.
When I left school, though, I had to make ends meet. I hustled hard, working as a lifeguard by day and stacking shelves at Liquorland by night. Those gigs paid the bills but left me restless. So I decided to become an electrician, thinking it’d be the career for me.
Fate had other plans. One day, drilling into 11,000 volts nearly ended it all. Yet in that chaos, I rediscovered my spark. From the edge of disaster, I found my way back to what I loved most, which was capturing precious moments for people through photography and videography.
Now, with 21 years in the game, I’ve built a career I never dreamed possible. I’ve travelled the world photographing people, met amazing couples, and turned fleeting moments into forever memories.
My days start with sunrises and end with beach walks alongside Leeshe, my Husky German Shepherd mix who’s my rock. Adventure keeps me sharp, whether I’m riding waves on my JetSki, drawing a bow in archery, aiming true in target shooting, or revving up for motorsports. That energy pours into every frame I shoot, helping me craft love-filled, light-soaked stories for couples who let me into their world.
